About me

I'm Louise Andrews, graphic designer and font lover. I grew up believing that creativity was meant for hobbies and nothing more, but at 21, I decided to take the leap and study what I loved.

As a child, I was hardly a Picasso, but I loved everything design—the freedom, the joy and the connection it can create; I've had an eye for design for as long as I can remember, always looking forward to getting covered in paint at school and pointing out bad interesting menu designs in restaurants.

I finally chose to study Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth at the age that most people graduate at. I thought I would feel a little left behind, but studying what I loved with like-minded people made me feel like I was finally on the right track.

After being pushed to pursue traditional subjects,

In my university work and personal projects, I aim to have each outcome have a positive effect. One of my favourite projects so far has been designing an identity for a medical device to stop bleeding from gunshot and stab wounds; I felt my work had a positive impact and a duty to fulfil.
